The Saint Mary’s baseball team began the week on Tuesday with a non-conference match up against the Aggies of UC Davis. The Gaels were able to leave Louis Guisto field with a 7-6 victory, but not without some late inning drama.
Saint Mary’s starting pitcher, Cameron Neff, was able to shut out the UC Davis offense for 8 innings, but trouble arose after he exited the game in the middle of the ninth inning. The Aggies were able to rattle off 6 runs on 5 hits in the top off the 9th by sending 10 hitters to the plate and taking advantage of two Saint Mary’s errors.
