SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Saint Mary's Baseball again played the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos well despite a two-run loss just like in their first meeting on March 22, this time by a 4-2 score.
UCSB is currently ranked No. 10 by College Baseball, No. 19 by D-1 Baseball, and No. 23 by Baseball America, but SMC gave them all they could handle for the second time this season.
Saint Mary's struck first in the first when Nick Mistone singled up the middle and Chris Santiago doubled down the right field line with one out.
