SAN DIEGO – There was no comeback to force extra innings on Saturday night for the Gaels, as the Toreros took game two by a score of 4-1.
Saint Mary's got a solo home run from , the first of his collegiate career, to cut the San Diego lead to 2-1 in the fifth inning, but were left stuck on the one run.
The Gaels had a scary moment in the bottom of the second, when shortstop Hunter Hiriyama collided with left fielder and Hiriyama was removed from the game with a lower leg injury.
