Kings guard Frank Mason III had an MRI on Tuesday that showed a partial tear of the left plantar fascia and will miss Wednesday's season finale. He also sat out Monday's loss in San Antonio.
Mason is expected to be available for the Kings when the summer league tips off in July.
The rookie from Kansas averaged 7.9 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 52 games, including two starts. He was a second-round pick in the 2017 NBA draft, 34th overall.
Mason suffered a similar injury Dec. 31, but in his right foot. The new injury is not as severe as the tear from December, which kept him sidelined until Feb.
