Why ex-Kings guard George Hill can finally celebrate. 'It’s about finishing the job' | The Sacramento Bee

Call him George the graduate.

One day before his Cleveland Cavaliers opened the Eastern Conference finals, George Hill was not at practice. Instead, he was receiving a degree from the school of liberal arts at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, better known simply as IUPUI.

The point guard, who was traded to Cleveland midseason after signing a three-year, $57 million deal with the Kings last summer, spoke at Saturday's ceremony. He even showed off a tattoo of the school's mascot on Twitter.

Hill, who turned 32 on May 4, left the university 10 years ago and was drafted late in the first round by the San Antonio Spurs.
