Late in the third quarter of Monday’s loss to the Detroit Pistons, Vince Carter rose up and drilled a three pointer. He’s done this 47 other times for the Sacramento Kings this season, but this one was special. With that shot, Carter passed Patrick Ewing’s career point total of 24,815. Carter is now 22nd all-time. Next on the list is Jerry West, with 25,192.
Carter won’t be passing West this season, but Carter seems like he could easily play another season in a similar role to the role he’s had with the Kings.
