The Kings could fill their coaching vacancy this weekend, according to multiple reports.
The Athletic’s Sam Amick tweeted that Kings general manager Vlade Divac is meeting with former Los Angeles Lakers coach Luke Walton on Saturday.
Walton, who mutually agreed to part ways with the Lakers on Friday, was contacted by the Kings in the first hour after the split.
The search is going fast this time because Divac was interested in hiring Walton three years ago, according to Sean Cunningham of ABC10.
The Kings hired Dave Joerger before the 2016-17 season.
