Sacramento player of the decade makes his case for Kings’ final roster spot

After a dominant performance Friday, following up his trend from the Kings’ California Classic games, Sacramento Bee’s high school player of the decade for the 2010s Jordan Ford has officially made his case for the Kings’ final point guard spot.

Sacramento’s point guard roles are currently filled by the reigning Clutch Player of the Year De’Aaron Fox and defensive maestro Davion Mitchell. With the third spot up for grabs, Ford, who grew up in Folsom, is playing like someone who should fill that role.

Ford had 20 points in Friday’s summer league victory in Las Vegas, where the Kings topped the Atlanta Hawks 80-76 to improve their summer league win streak to three games.
