The Sacramento Kings traded for Iman Shumpert at the trade deadline this season. Way before the year’s first tipoff, rumors of Shumpert heading to Sacramento were swirling around the league, so the swap came as no surprise. There was one major problem after the deal, though.
He never played a second on the court for the Kings this season. Plantar fasciitis limited him to 14 games and it was almost unquestionably the worst season of his career. Shumpert shot 37.9 percent from the field and played less than 20 minutes per game for the first time his career.
