The All-Star break is a time of rest for much of the NBA, and us Sacramento Kings fans could certainly use a break right now, too. The season has been an all-around disappointment after the team made huge strides last year and looked to build on them. It will be some time before the Kings are mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, but their season is as good as finished.
This would be about the point when it would be easy to stop paying attention, to start pretending like you don’t care. Judging by how many “fans” said they were done with the Kings after the loss to the Spurs on December 6th, only to return two days later after the team defeated the Mavericks, there will probably plenty of ship-hopping happening in the coming months.
