Less than a minute into the Kings vs. 76ers game on Saturday night, Philadelphia’s emerging star Ben Simmons showcased his offensive skillset to the Sacramento crowd with a transition poster dunk.
Nemanja Bjelica played that possesion as well as can be expected; he took a solid angle to cover Simmons, shadowed him, and was up to contest the dunk. But Simmons’ explosiveness has been tough to contain over the course of his ongoing 133-game rookie season, and there’s not much Bjelica can do in a one-on-one matchup like that.
