The Sacramento Kings are on the verge of firing head coach Dave Joerger today, according to several reports.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and The Athletic’s Sam Amick both reported Thursday morning that Joerger, whose team finished the season 39-43 after losing its season-ending game in Portland on Wednesday night, was to be fired along with assistant general manager Brandon Williams.
General manager Vlade Divac and Joerger, who has one season remaining on a four-year contract, were reportedly expected to meet Thursday.
