Players will have until June 24 to decide on their participation in the NBA restart

The NBA’s plan to resume the season seems far enough away, but in order for games to begin on July 30, teams have to start getting their ducks in a row now.

As such, it comes as little surprise that the opt-in date for the Orlando plan is imminent. Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that players will have until June 24 to let their teams know if they plan on participating in the restart of the league year.

Players who are deemed to be at higher risk of illness from contracting COVID-19 will be excused from participating and not subject to the salary deduction.
