While the Kings aren't always contenders, they are usually at least fun to watch. That was missing last season. There was nothing fun about the Kings' 2024-2025 trainwreck, which is a lot nicer language than what DeMar DeRozan used to describe their failed campaign.
Sure, there were a lot of missing pieces in the organization, both on and off the court. The season didn't start off great, but it really started to fall apart after the franchise fired former head coach Mike Brown. It definitely wasn't fun to watch everything crumble after that.
When people talk about the fun aspects of watching the Kings play, what they are really talking about is the identity of the team.
