Yesterday’s game between the Sacramento Kings and Atlanta Hawks was more than just basketball. The game was delayed due to the protest that happened outside the Golden 1 Center in response to the recent tragedy of Stephon Clark’s death. The game was eventually played out, but only in front of a small crowd of fans who were able to get into the arena.
Once the game concluded, Kings’ owner, Vivek Ranadive, addressed the crowd showing his and the organization’s sympathy for the recent events happening in the community. DeMarcus Cousins, now a player for the New Orleans Pelicans, is also taking action as well.
