While the Kings are absolutely loaded with guards for some reason no one understands, they only have two dedicated point guards. De'Aaron Fox's departure created a huge hole in the roster.
The expectation was the Kings would be on a legendary offseason hunt for a new point guard, one that would lead the team and rally fans behind them.
So, the franchise picked up Dennis Schroeder. The German-born point guard has a long history in the NBA, mostly of being traded frequently, and isn't likely to be a strong replacement for Fox.

Schroeder joined the Atlanta Hawks in 2013 and played with the franchise until 2018.
