While the Sacramento Kings are not placing the blame for their slow start on scheduling, it certainly has not done them any favors. They have played the 5th most difficult schedule in the league so far this season, having had games against the Jazz, Nuggets, 76ers, Raptors, Lakers, and two against the Celtics.
Given the circumstances, the Kings have fared well up to this point. They are missing their two cornerstone players due to injury for extended periods and they have yet to hit any soft spots in their schedule. Yet they sit at 7-10, just a game out of the 8th and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
