The Kings lost a tiebreaker with the Chicago Bulls and are now slated seventh prior to the NBA draft lottery on May 15.
Both teams finished 27-55 and have an 18.25 percent chance to move into the top three and a 5.3 percent chance to land the first overall pick in the June 21 draft. The Bulls will pick sixth if no team behind them moves into the top three after the lottery.
Both teams could be targeting similar prospects based on their needs.
