The Sacramento Kings picked up their first road loss of the season with a slow-to-start performance against the Dallas Mavericks.
So far this season, the Kings have been able to weather De’Aaron Fox’s struggles, which carried into Sunday night’s game, but they didn’t get enough from their usual contributors, Harrison Barnes and Buddy Hield, against the Mavericks. On Sunday, Barnes and Hield shot a combined 9-29 (31%) from the field. Meanwhile, Fox shot 5-16 (31.2%) from the field.
The Kings managed to keep the game close despite falling behind early, but they were unable to fully complete the comeback, falling 105-99.
