NBA teams have started to test players and staff for the coronavirus this week in anticipation of the league restart next month. The hope is that individuals who test positive will have enough time to quarantine and recover before the start of training camp on July 11.
The Sacramento Kings have just reported their first confirmed case, as Jabari Parker has tested positive for the coronavirus, per a statement he released through the team:
“Several days ago I tested positive for COVID-19 and immediately self-isolated in Chicago which is where I remain.
