Former Kings forward and Sacramento native Matt Barnes is planning a march Saturday to protest the shooting death of Stephon Clark by Sacramento police, a source told The Sacramento Bee.
Barnes plans to work with current Kings, too.
Clark, 22, was holding a cellphone when he was shot and killed late March 18 in the backyard of his grandmother's house in south Sacramento.
Officers, responding to reports of a man breaking car windows, fired at him 20 times.
Barnes reached out to the family after Clark’s death and, along with former King DeMarcus Cousins, offered to cover Clark’s funeral expenses.
