Training camp is a big deal. It gives the front office a chance to see how everyone plays together before they start whittling down the training camp roster into the regular season roster.
As important as it is for the management, it's equally important for the players. This is their first real opportunity to build a rapport as a team and start to establish some sort of rhythm.
That can be kind of an issue when players start mid-season. It's even worse when the coach starts mid-season, all of which happened to the Kings in 2024-2025.
