Cory Joseph and his family are donating “thousands” of healthy meals to families in Canada through Isthmus, the Sacramento Kings announced on Monday.
Isthmus is a Canadian charity that provides food for students who don’t have access to food over the weekends. Their cause is especially important now that schools are closed all throughout Canada, and for that same reason, the support they receive is equally important.
Joseph, a native of Toronto, served as an ambassador for Isthmus for three years, so their partnership was a natural fit. However, Joseph won’t only be donating meals on the weekends; his donation will cover meals through the school year, according to the team’s statement.
