The Kings debuted their “new” city jerseys for the first time last night in their 117-113 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. The team came out with a ton of energy, getting up by as many as 19 points. Maybe the reason the team was so hyped up was because of their new animated player intro.
According to the Kings this is the first ever fully animated NBA Player Intro. The team partnered with Ivan Dixon, co-director of Childish Gambino’s “Feels Like Summer” and hip-hop artist Mission to make it.
Say what you will about the “new” city jerseys, but the team clearly put a lot of effort into the marketing here and this intro is amazing.
