To begin his campaign, Buddy Hield’s shooting stroke was off. His numbers for the year could almost be considered worse than the “sniper” Lonzo Ball himself. Ok, maybe it was not that bad. But still concerning considering how Hield performed last season with Sacramento and his reputation as a potential sharpshooter.
In order to possibly solve Hield’s offensive struggles, Dave Joerger opted to have the second-year player come off the bench, and it may be the most impactful decision the Kings have made for the season so far.
In his first seven games, when being placed in the starting lineup, Hield was shooting just 35.
