To say there has been confusion in regards to all of the draft considerations the Sacramento Kings sent to the Philadelphia 76ers as part of the Carl Landry, Jason Thompson, Nik Stauskas salary dump would be an understatement. It’s a confusing trade made even more confusing because the Kings already owe a protected first round pick to the Chicago Bulls (via Cleveland) and also owe various second round picks with different protections to other teams around the league. Lets clear some of that up, shall we?
In 2016, the Kings owe the following draft considerations, via Real GM –
Sacramento's 1st round pick to Chicago (via Cleveland) protected for selections 1-10 in 2016 and 1-10 in 2017; if Sacramento has not conveyed a 1st round pick to Chicago by 2017, then Sacramento will instead convey its 2017 2nd round pick to Chicago protected for selections 56-60 (if this pick falls within its protected range and is therefore not conveyed, then Sacramento's obligation to Chicago will be extinguished).
