Well, in the first half Saturday against Michigan, the injury-prone Grant turned back the clock and showed how explosive he can be when healthy ... as an injured Blackshear watched from the sideline.
Then the glass went to fully empty when Grant left the game in the third quarter of a 35-14 loss and never returned.
For a Rutgers offense in desperate need of playmakers, the health of its redshirt senior wide receiver (Grant) and true freshman running back (Blackshear) is directly tied to potential production above the 195 yards gained against Michigan.
