PISCATAWAY -- If Vegas would've put a percentage on the chances of Johnathan Lewis playing as a freshman back in mid-April, it would've been near 100 percent.
Back then, Rutgers was ending spring camp with just one healthy scholarship quarterback. And while Gio Rescigno had earned the starting spot, the expectation was Lewis would be on even footing in a training-camp battle with Rutgers' returning starter.
That all changed in the last week of April, when Rutgers lured Kyle Bolin as a graduate transfer from Louisville. As expected from the time he arrived in late May, Bolin was named Rutgers' starting quarterback on Monday.
