Why Rutgers' Mike Williams is following in footsteps of Hall of Fame inductee Quincy Douby

PISCATAWAY -- Mike Williams didn't meet the Rutgers player he idolized growing up until he joined the Scarlet Knights men's basketball program four years ago.

By then, Williams knew all about Quincy Douby's exploits over his three seasons at Rutgers, where he became the sixth-highest scorer in program history with 1,690 points.

"That's my man,'' Williams said. "He's a Brooklyn native like me. I've known him since my freshman year. That's like a big brother to me.''

Williams was in the fourth grade in 2005-06, when Douby averaged a Big East-best 25.
