Rutgers fans can be excused if their first reaction was a sigh of relief after seeing Wisconsin and Nebraska exit their annual schedule.
The two tradition-rich foes had their way with Rutgers in its first two seasons in the Big Ten, out-scoring the Scarlet Knights by a combined 158-48.
This season, Big Ten teams are playing nine-game conference schedules and with it comes three non-division foes. For Rutgers, Nebraska and Wisconsin exit and Iowa, Illinois and Minnesota enter.
At first glance, it's not nearly as menacing of a crossover slate.
