PISCATAWAY -- Injuries and paperwork are the ugly parts of college football and they have impacted Rutgers during training camp.
Defensive end Malachi Moore is no longer with the program because of a "pre-existing medical condition," coach Chris Ash said Sunday during his media day press conference.
"Between his family, himself and the doctors, they made a decision that it was for the best that he doesn't continue to play football," Ash said. "Thankfully, he's got a degree already. Very intelligent kid, high-character kid, and he's ready to go on to the next chapter of his life in the real world.
