Why it took abandoning game plan for Rutgers offense to get in sync: QB Kyle Bolin explains

PISCATAWAY -- On one hand, Rutgers offense looked its most dangerous on the final two drives Saturday, when the handcuffs came off of quarterback Kyle Bolin.

On the other, needing three points to force overtime in a 16-13 loss to Eastern Michigan, Rutgers got to the 27-yard line both times and came away without even attempting one 44-yard field goal.

"I think what we did toward the end of the game was spread the ball out and threw a lot more quick game," Bolin said. "Get the ball out of my hands and get the ball to playmakers in space.
