Why a Rutgers spring game star was left off training camp roster

PISCATAWAY -- There is a football adage that if a team has two quarterbacks then it has no quarterback.

There's no adage for having four placekickers because ... well ... it's that unique.

But that's the situation that Rutgers coach Chris Ash faces as he tries to pick between returning starter David Bonagura, graduate transfer Andrew Harte -- who previously was a walk-on at Minnesota under Jerry Kill, who is Rutgers offensive coordinator -- and true freshman Justin Davidovicz.

"I feel a lot better about our kicking situation right now," Ash said, "with who's on campus and the competition that's been created.
