PISCATAWAY -- Chris Ash didn't say the words "game-time decision,'' but the Rutgers coach made it clear that he doesn't plan to announce his starting quarterback until the Scarlet Knights are ready to kickoff Saturday (12 p.m., BTN) at Illinois.
"Kickoff is 11:01 (central time). Maybe (it'll be announced) right at 11 o'clock,'' Ash said, playing coy in a post-practice media session Thursday evening.
"We'll have it figured out. Obviously we don't want other (teams) do their job. ... (Rutgers' starting QB) will know in advance. But we want to make sure we're doing the best thing for our football team and you (media) guys will know when we kickoff.
