PISCATAWAY -- Somewhere in Las Vegas on Monday, someone asked this question: Can we list a team coming off a 78-point loss as a favorite in a conference game?
Turns out the answer is no.
Off its 78-0 loss to Michigan, Rutgers (2-4) was installed by VegasInsider.com as a three-point home underdog to Illinois (1-4) ahead of Saturday's matchup between the only two Big Ten teams with 0-3 conference records.
Michigan State, which was nationally ranked at one point, and Minnesota both are 0-2.
Rutgers' offense ranks last nationally in yards produced.
