Which former N.J. football recruits play for Michigan State?

When the Scarlet Knights take on the Michigan State Spartans Saturday at Spartan Stadium, they could potentially face two native New Jerseyans in red-shirt sophomore defensive tackle Gerald Owens and freshman wide receiver Cam Chambers.

Gerald Owens

Owens, a three-year starter for Coach Clyde Folsom, ascended to Michigan State in 2014 out of West Deptford high (West Deptford Township, N.J.), where he was a three-star running back.

Owens held upwards of 10 offers, including Rutgers (one of the first schools to offer), Florida State, South Carolina, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Boston College, Illinois and Temple.
