Friday, Rutgers began its rebound from two straight decommitments in adding an explosive two-way threat in Erasmus Hall’s (Brooklyn, N.Y.) Christian Izien.
A 5-9, 182-pound senior, Izien stars in all three facets of the game, and will bring his versatility to the banks next summer when he arrives.
He received his Rutgers offer less than one week ago as the Knights hoped to gain back a pledge at the skill positions, after E.J. Turner reopened his recruitment.
“When I first got the offer, it felt like a relief,” said Izien, a three-star recruit. ” I wanted that offer so bad, for so long.
