PISCATAWAY -- Very few first-guessers spoke out when true freshman quarterback Tylin Oden made his Rutgers debut in the fourth quarter of the second game of the season.
Sure, Rutgers had an entrenched starter at the time in Chris Laviano, but Oden brought a different skill set to the table and it wasn't difficult to picture him as the starter by season's end if things went south for the offense.
Well that's exactly happened -- Rutgers ranks last in the nation with 277 yards per game of total offense -- but it's Giovanni Rescigno who has started the last four games as Oden remains in virtually the same limited role that he held nine games ago.
