NEW YORK -- Rutgers fans hoping for a radically different look from the Scarlet Knights football uniforms worn last season will be disappointed.
That change in style will likely occur before the 2018 season, after adidas -- which begins its recently signed six-year deal to outfit the Scarlet Knights on July 1 -- will need approximately a year to complete a brand redesign, according to Rutgers Athletics Director Pat Hobbs, who told NJ Advance Media in mid-February the goal was to "simplify (the Rutgers) look'' with a uniform design that's "clean looking'' and "consistent with the way adidas approaches its line.
