Rutgers safety Davon Jacobs, a former starter who slipped down the depth chart during spring practice, is transferring out of the program after the change in coaching staff, he told Gannett New Jersey.
“I just felt like that was the best option for me,” Jacobs said. “It wasn’t the best fit for me. I talked to people who are close to me and we decided the best decision was to leave.”
Jacob’ options should expand if he follows through on his plan to graduate from Rutgers over the summer with a degree in criminal justice.
