What did freshman sensation Trey Sneed do to impress coach Chris Ash?

PISCATAWAY – With 25 redshirt freshmen, 25 sophomores and 18 juniors on the Rutgers football roster, odds were slim that one of four true freshmen would be the first underclassman to inspire confidence in coach Chris Ash.

Trey Sneed beat the odds when Ash declared the midyear enrollee game-ready by peeling the black stripe off his practice helmet. Sneed is the only nonsenior among the first eight players officially Knighted.
