Rutgers wrestling got a big boost Friday when the NCAA officially granted three-time All-American Anthony Ashnault a sixth year of eligibility. Ashnault missed all of this past season due to knee and shoulder injuries.
“We’re extremely happy for Anthony because he really deserved it,” head coach Scott Goodale said in a statement. “He’s been the face of our program for the past four years and now he gets one more legit chance to accomplish his goal of winning a national title.”
Ashnault's return was always expected.
