The man tasked with serving as the interim head coach when Rutgers women's basketball coach C. Vivian Stringer took two games off last week to mourn the death of her mother believes the way he approaches coaching can be traced back to the day he was delivered the worst news imaginable.

In 1995, Timothy Eatman was an assistant at the University of Iowa. Around the same time Stringer left Iowa to take over the Rutgers program, Eatman and his wife were told by doctors that there were complications with their unborn son.
