PISCATAWAY — As the Rutgers coach charged with scheming a game-plan to defend Ohio State's star quarterback, J.T. Barrett, Jay Niemann says the task isn't simple.
"He must be a really good leader for them,'' said the defensive coordinator, who will get a first-hand look at Barrett on Saturday, when Rutgers (2-2) meets No. 2 Ohio State (3-0) for a 12 p.m. kickoff in Columbus, Ohio.
"That's where (the Ohio State offense) starts. He's a very accurate passer. He seems very poised and he make things happen with his feet or he can just stand back there and set up in the pocket and throw.
