PISCATAWAY -- The hurry-up spread offense is officially history at Rutgers football.
First-year offensive coordinator Jerry Kill's game plan looked almost nothing like the ill-fitted offense that Rutgers employed last season under predecessor Drew Mehringer.
The first drive of the season set the tone for what was to come: An 11-play, 59-yard march that included four first downs and ended with a touchdown pass from Kyle Bolin to Janarion Grant.
It quickly put to rest at least once concern from the pessimists: Would Rutgers get shut out for the fifth time in the last 13 games?
