PISCATAWAY - Janarion Grant got Rutgers on the scoreboard against Howard when he ran a kickoff return back 84 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter, and he then used another explosive play to give the team its first lead in the third.

Grant converted a third-down run for a 58-yard touchdown out of the wildcat with 14:05 left in the third quarter, giving Rutgers a 21-14 lead.
