With the Scarlet team backed up to their own two yard line, the coaches of the Rutgers offense sent out their secret weapon, four-year-old Mordecai Carthy. On the final play of the annual Scarlet-White spring football game, it was end zone or bust.

Officially speaking, Mohamed Sanu owns the longest rushing play from scrimmage in the Rutgers record book with a 91-yard score in a 2010 game against Tulane.

But the Atlanta Falcons' standout wide receiver now has some good company, as Mordecai thrilled the crowd with a 98-yard touchdown run, rewriting the record book with the longest play in Rutgers football history.
