Leonte Carroo won’t get to play in the Senior Bowl after all.
The Rutgers football star wide receiver whose senior season was interrupted by injuries to his ankle and his shoulder was eagerly awaiting his opportunity to return to the field and prove his restored health to NFL scouts Saturday at the Senior Bowl.
But, after turning heads with his play-making in the first few days of practice, Carroo injured his ankle Wednesday afternoon and will not be able to play in the showcase, according to multiple reports out of Mobile, Ala. where the star-studded game is taking place.
