Friday, Rutgers extended an offer to Bergen Catholic (Oradell, N.J.) class of 2022 cornerback Jaeden Gould -- A Rutgers legacy as his father, Scott, played linebacker at the school.
I coached Gould one year for the Matawan Huskies along with Scott, former Knight and NFL veteran Jay Bellamy, fellow NFL veteran Charlie Rogers and others. Gould is long, physically advanced and has experienced lots of high-level competition throughout the circuit which has helped get him to where he is today. Gould is the second BC freshman to earn a Rutgers offer behind Tywone Malone, a 6-4, 290-pounder who also played for us on that Matawan team.
