Washington starts at No. 8; how many Top 25 teams does Rutgers face?

opened the 2016 season against Rutgers as the No. 14-ranked team in country and exceeded that expectation by finishing the regular season ranked in the top 4 and playing in the College Football Playoff.

Now, the Huskies are a consensus top-10 team, pegged at No. 7 in the USA TODAY/Coaches poll and No. 8 in the just-released Associated Press Top 25.

The Scarlet Knights will open with Washington for the season straight season, playing host to coach Chris Petersen's squad on Friday, Sept. 1, for an 8 p.m. kickoff at High Point Solutions Stadium.
